Bob Welch is the fifth solo album from the ex-Fleetwood Mac guitarist of the same name. It was his first for RCA Records. The album has since been reissued on CD by BMG Japan in 2001 and in 2012 by Wounded Bird Records. When asked in an interview to promote his Bob Welch Looks at Bop album, Welch was asked if there were any songs he disliked recording, and Welch described one from this album. Robert Lawrence Welch Jr. August 31, 1945 June 7, 2012 was an American musician who was a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1971 to 1974. He had a successful solo career in the late 1970s. His singles included Hot Love, Cold World, Ebony Eyes, Precious Love, Hypnotized, and his signature song, Sentimental Lady. David Anderle once tried to sign Fleetwood Mac member Bob Welch to a solo contract at A&M Records in 1977, but Bob Welch eventually signed with Capitol Records.
