Bernie Krause is a pioneer both in electronic music and in field recordings of nature sounds. Krause holds a Ph. in bioacoustics from Union Institute in Cincinnati, and is remembered as the Pied Piper who lured a stray humpback whale from the Sacramento River Delta back to the Pacific Ocean, through the use of sounds.
