In the five decades since The Beatles released their ninth studio LP, popularly known as The White Album, the rock world has been rife with working assumptions about the double-records production. Indeed, the resulting mythologies are so profuse that they have become inseparable from our understanding of these recordings. In addition to the demos and a new remix of the album overseen by Giles Martin, son of the late producer George Martin, there are 50 tracks of the work in progress outtakes and sketches roads not taken and songs left behind across the summer and fall of 1968. The Beatles is now seen as the album on which they started to break up. All physical versions of this reissue include Giles Martin and Sam Okells new stereo remix, sourced directly from the original four-track and eight-track session tapes. The Beatles White Album is the best work they ever put out in their short 6 year career. The double album is again remixed for 2018 and the songs havent sounded this good ever. Every instrument is clearly heard in the mix with the low end getting the heavier boost that it should. It features the Esher House Demos, recordings of any of the songs which were included on the White Album just after the boys arrived from India. These recordings are readily available in bootlegs, but these songs sound clean and professional, and do not sound like a bootleg recording at all.
