Originally released in very limited quantities and only to the media for promotional purposes, Preview has since been reissued as a makeweight to the 1994 CD release of the Battlefield Band's 1979 album, Stand Easy. Its four tracks offered an introduction to the band's new lineup at the time, which found singer and dulcimer player Sylvia Barnes taking the place of Jenny Clark and a new addition in the form of guitarist Jim Barnes. Battlefield Band are a Scottish traditional music group. Founded in Glasgow in 1969, they have released over 30 albums and undergone many changes of lineup. As of 2010, none of the original founders remain in the band.
