Bad Religion is a punk rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1979. Their lyrics often relate to matters ofsocial responsibility. The band's lineup has changed several times over its lifespan, with lead vocalist Greg Graffin being the only consistent member the current lineup, however. Bad Religion released their first record, a self-titled EP, in 1981 on Epitaph Records, a label Gurewitz started after borrowing money from his father. The band released their first full length, How Could Hell Be Any Worse, in 1982. Midway through the recording for the album, Ziskrout quit the band and the record was finished with drummer Pete Finestone. In 1983, the band abruptly shifted gears, issuing the keyboard-heavy, prog rock influenced Into The Unknown, on which neither Bentley who quit during the recording of the first track nor Finestone appeared. Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blond contribute guest vocals. This is also the first Bad Religion al. Stranger than Fiction is the eighth full-length studio album tenth release overall by American punk rock band Bad Religion, released in 1994. Stranger Than Fiction was their first album released on the major label Atlantic Records although that label re-released the previous album, Recipe for Hate, and also its last release with guitarist Brett Gurewitz, who left just prior to the album's 1994-1995 world tour, only to return to the band seven years later. On tour, Gurewitz was replaced by Brian.
