Set Me Free is the first release of Audio Junkies on our Asymmetric Dip label. The original title featured on Monique Musique's sister label, as part of the Set Me Free/Revival ep, but after Monique Chronique closed, we felt that this track deserved a new makeover incl 2 smashing remixes by Werner Niedermeir and a refreshing new 2012 rework by Audio Junkies.
Werner's stripped down remix absolutely captures the essence of the gospal vocals. The warm bass line and lead synths accentuate the underground tone of the track, and really give a new fresh twist to the original.
For the 2012 Rework of the original version, Audio Junkies in a most elegant way , formed a very unique and inspirational sound full of fascination for organic elements. It is an almost ritualistic piece of electronic music that takes us back to the early days of house music, ready to be served for those with open-minds and ears.
