On Mundo Civilizado, Arto Lindsay effected a successful fusion of American avant-rock, Brazilian pop, and techno. On Hyper Civilizado, selected members of the techno elite return the compliment by remixing several tracks from Mundo Civilizado. It's a great idea and one which should have worked much better unfortunately, there are serious problems, not the least of which is the inexplicable selection of only three album tracks to receive remix treatment.
