The Zwolle rock band The Prodigal Sons made at the beginning of the 1990s a flying start with a final place in the Grand Prix of Netherlands, the radio hit You Still Think and a gig on Pinkpop. The success came apparently too fast because not long after the band fell apart. Of singer Erwin Nijhoff appeared not long after the well received solo cd Take Your Time. Also with the rest of the prodigal sons is the fine because under the name 16 Weekly they scored a radio hit with the beautiful Subtle Movements. On the debut cd Head rush, we hear that the original ' sideman ' Marco Hammond has developed to a convincing front man. Not only, he signed for the production and he plays many instruments, he also has a beautiful husky voice which are not covered by does for those of his old buddy Nijhoff. Most impression 16 Down in the quiet and beautiful ' empty ' arranged pieces as Hemisphere and Heaven Still Cries with which they can easily compete with established greats like Coldplay and Travis.
